Fremont Jail, Alameda County
Fremont Police Detention Facility operates as a Temporary Holding Facility, temporarily housing arrestees pending release or transfer. Staff also provide prisoner transportation, court-ordered bookings, and registrant processing.
The facility books adult prisoners for the Fremont Police Department. People who cannot post bail may be transferred to Alameda County Jail at Santa Rita on the next available transport.
Fremont Jail operates from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., seven days a week. Court-ordered and registrant bookings are generally available daily from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. by appointment, subject to staff availability.
Social visitation is not currently allowed; legal visits are permitted. Live Scan and fingerprinting services are available by appointment, typically from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
